Myrna Goes to the ER to Remove Fluid from Lungs

Saturday, April 19, 2015, Myrna;s breathing rate was up to 44 despite pushing extra Torsemide 2.5mg about four times in addition to her regular 5mg at 6 a.m. and noon.

It was a good draw.  They tested her kidney values. Myrna's potassium is up from 3.1 two weeks ago to 3.8 after pushing about 5000mg a day in potassium.  Myrna only had about two ounces of fluid to remove. Dehydrated; BUN 42, creatinine 2.4; will leave on oxygen for a few hours.

She was happy to be home-11pm- ate well; then became dazed, restless, and was awake at two am as I fell asleep.

She was fine Sunday, April 19.  The cardio and I texted-she will not see her on Monday but may need to be tapped again at the end of the week.

We also discussed an end of life plan, the procedures, the drugs.

She has many complications that this time are converging and are creating a pinnacle that is difficult to overcome.
