Myrna Loy had a three month check-up today in Novi with her cardiologist. She is looking good! There is no change in the numbers or physical change in the heart/muscles/tissues/valves, etc. Everything is still stable. And her lungs are clear. At this point, she will visit with the doctor in four months and may begin to see her at 4-6 month intervals going forward until such time when more frequent visits are needed.
Here is the report:
"Today's echocardiogram confirmed the previous finding of severe left ventricular thickening due to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. However, there is no evidence of progressive left ventricular thickening or progressive left atrial dilation. In addition, the chest x-rays do not reveal any dilation of the pulmonary vasculature or pulmonary congestion. Based on these results, Myrna Loy appears to be stable. I would suggest continuing all of her cardiac medications as previously directed."
