Vomiting By Cats May Be a Reason for Concern and Not to Be Disregarded

The article says that constant vomiting by a cat might be a sign that something serious is wrong and we shouldn't ignore even hairballs. He's got a point. BUT I don't agree with his other point: he assumes that shorthair breeds have short hair because the hair falls out more frequently, preventing it from growing, while longhair breeds have hair that doesn't fall out so it grows longer over time because it stays put. I've never seen a piece of research that states that as true. Kittens are born fluffy or not. Some have very fluffy fur after a few months, while others have thicker fur, and others are flat/shorthairs-that's what we've seen.
