Myrna Much Better Since the June 4 Cardiologist Visit

Myrna saw the cardiologist for breathing difficulties on June 4 (blog posts below.)  She spent a week recovering.  The lasix had been changed from 10mg in the a.m.; 5mg at lunch; and 5mg at dinner in the evening.  But after a couple of days, Myrna began to show signs that by 5 or 6 p.m. she needed more lasix.  And if she didn’t need it then, she showed that she needed it at bedtime.  After a week of giving extra lasix when she showed she needed it (breathing rate going up to 40 and staying there) I called the vet and asked if she could go back to receiving lasix QID-four times a day, keeping the 10mg in the a.m.  She agreed.  Now Myrna receives 25mg total-10mg in the a.m., 5mg at lunch, 6:30 p.m., and 5mg at bedtime.  After a couple of days, Myrna showed signs of energy and alertness.  Her breathing was more steady and normal at 32-36.
