Myrna's Nose Much Better

Myrna's nose on Friday never bled again after we left home for the vet's.  So, we never had to use a cold compress or the drops we were given. Praise the Lord!  Apparently, we were given epinephrine, a drug that stops all matter of bleeding-nosebleeds, uterine, stomach, cuts, etc.  I would say it's handy to have around. But it's dangerous to use on people with certain health conditions such as heart disease, high blood pressure, etc. and shouldn't be used on animals unless prescribed by the vet.  Had we needed to use it, we would also have had to take her to the ER or her cardiologist for follow-up immediate care to make sure there were no ill side effects causing issues with the heart.  Here's a list of how the drug works, its uses, and side effects.
